Patently this is great news…
This week has been a real high-energy week, we have so many great things to announce and some really great goals achieved.
Recently we have found a couple more team members who will join us from March, full details on this to come, we are just really excited to build the team and welcome in new friends and co-workers.
We have also had some interesting movement on partnerships as we secured Domain Registry Rights which will allow us greater flexibility on offering our services, not just here in the UK but eventually to a global market, as well as open up options for us on providing a whole host ( pun intended) of other services and features.
But really one of the most exciting milestones is that we have completed the first step of our integration into the UK IPO system, allowing us to search and manipulate the huge dataset and knowledge from H.M. Offices.
So with this in mind we decided to look up the first registered UK trademark on our fancy swanky new system, result! cuz it’s beer o’clock.
UK00000000001 reaches all the way back to 1876 and is still a registered and trading company to this day.

William Bass had a crazy idea of how to sell beer, somehow he understood the future of commerce and branding, and 9 years after launching his brewery he trademarked the distinctive red triangle logo and his now-famous pale ale labels.
An early pioneer of marketing William quickly grew the company to one of the largest in the UK, producing and selling over 1,500,000 Barrels of Beer every year, from a microbrewery in Burton on Trent to later when Bass would become the biggest brewer in the world.
All businesses start with one person and a crazy idea, Bass, although a mere shadow of the powerhouse they were half a decade ago, trademarked their name and logo, brandished it for over 145 years… so far.
What’s your crazy idea? will it last a century? will you become a household name? get in the game now and register your company through Work Books and get off on the right footing, protect your idea and give it the best chance it has to achieve its potential.
I’ll drink to your health and your wealth. Cheers!
