Diversity and Inclusivity Policy

Diversity and Inclusivity Policy

We believe in a fair world

Work-books is fully committed to the elimination of unlawful and unfair discrimination and values the differences that a diverse workforce brings to the organisation in each and every of our activities and our society.

Everybody has something to contribute

Work-books will not discriminate because of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race (which includes colour, nationality and ethnic or national origins), religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. It will not discriminate because of any other irrelevant factor.
We care how you think, what you think and how hard you work, effort is a key principal for us and our wins and losses are shared among us.

We will positively bias any person , company or applicants too that express and share protected characteristics that we believe we can support and assist, especially in finding a place closer to our community.

Measure Effort, Measure Merit

We work and promote a culture that values effort, transparency , openness and importantly as highlighted fairness. We wish to express that these are our core principals, for all employees, and the values we wish to promote and look for in our supply chains.

The moral test of governance is how it treats those who are in the dawn of life; those who are in the twilight of life and those who are in the shadows of life.

Hubert Humphrey

Work-books understands that this sometimes involves supporting and providing for individuals in unique or uncommon circumstances.
We will positively bias and promote any specific social good we can perform, not for the individuals merit but for the merit of our collective and community.

We want every employee to know they are valued, supported and our deepest wish is for each to achieve their full potential. In whatever pursuit.

It is our hope that through reinforcing our learning and practices in the foundation of Work-books that we can promote and instil these values beyond a policy and into the hearts of our work force.

Objectives relating to fair and inclusive practices will be included in all employees’ performance indicators and will form an integral part of performance reviews throughout the year.

The policy is applicable to all employees, secondees, agency staff, clients, communities, suppliers and contractors, whether permanent or temporary. The policy applies to all processes. Decisions relating to customers and communities will be based on business-related criteria and any irrelevant information will not form part of the process.
